Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 23, 2026

This version applies from the date above. Material changes will be reflected in an updated date and, where appropriate, in-app notice.

1. Information We Collect

Bloomly is built with privacy in mind. We collect only what we need to run the app and, if you choose, to improve it:

  • Account information: email address, display name, and sign-in details (for example when you use email, Google, or Sign in with Apple)
  • Content you create: tasks, calendar events, dump notes, templates, day tags, and settings you save in Bloomly
  • Technical information needed to operate the app securely (for example device type, operating system, and app version)

If you enable optional usage analytics in Settings → Analytics & privacy, we may also collect pseudonymous diagnostics, such as:

  • Device type and platform
  • App version
  • Crash logs and error reports (when crash reporting is enabled on our systems)
  • Anonymous usage events (for example which screens or features are used—not the text of your tasks or events)

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to operate Bloomly, including:

  • Providing core features and account access
  • Syncing your content when you are signed in
  • Keeping the service secure and reliable
  • Improving performance and fixing issues
  • Optional usage analytics and crash diagnostics (only where you have opted in or where permitted by law—for example Firebase Analytics when enabled in Analytics & privacy)

3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

If the GDPR applies to you, we process personal data based on:

  • Contract: to provide the Bloomly service you sign up for
  • Legitimate interests: to secure, maintain, and improve the app (for example essential logs and stability)
  • Consent: where required—for example optional usage analytics you can turn on or off in Settings

4. Data Security

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and secure storage. No method is 100% secure, but we work continuously to reduce risk.

5. Third-Party Services

Bloomly relies on a small set of third-party providers. They may process limited technical and account-related data only to deliver infrastructure, authentication, sync, security, subscriptions, transactional email, and—if you opt in—anonymous analytics or crash diagnostics.

Depending on how you use Bloomly, this may include hosting and database providers, Google and Apple sign-in, Apple App Store billing, email delivery (Resend), Firebase Analytics, and error monitoring such as Sentry when enabled in our deployment. We do not sell your personal data.

Where required, we use providers that offer GDPR-aligned processing terms and appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

6. Your GDPR Rights

Under the GDPR, you may have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Rectify inaccurate personal data
  • Erase your personal data (right to be forgotten)
  • Restrict processing of your personal data
  • Receive your data in a portable format (data portability)
  • Object to certain processing activities

Account deletion

You can delete your Bloomly account and cloud-stored personal data at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account. You must confirm your account email; we then remove your account from our servers and send a confirmation email. You may also request deletion by contacting info@usebloomly.io from the email address linked to your account. Data stored only on your device may remain until you clear app data or reinstall the app.

7. Data Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, legal obligations, or account support. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

8. Children's Privacy

Bloomly is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

9. International Processing

Bloomly primarily operates with EU privacy standards in mind. Personal data is processed in accordance with GDPR, including when processed by approved service providers in other jurisdictions using appropriate safeguards.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and provide notice where appropriate.
